Welcome to the South Jersey Astronomy Club

SJAC serves those with an interest in astronomy throughout all of the
southern part of New Jersey and surrounding areas.

Here you will find important information regarding our club, as well as information
pertaining to our upcoming events, meetings and our public skywatch sessions.

Within this site you be able to learn the basics of astronomy, check area weather,
and enjoy some of our members photographs.

You will also be able to view and print information about our Spring and Fall Star Parties,
and regional weekend gatherings for the astronomy enthusiast.


PUBLIC SKYWATCH INFO   

The next free public Skywatch is March 23rd (rain 24th) 

 Please check back for a  GO / NOGO   weather call

The club will host a public skywatch at Belleplain State Forest . The skywatch begins about 7:30, and admission is free! Once inside Belleplain State Forest, just follow the signs to the public parking lot (free) and then walk the short distance on to the observing field.

MONTHLY  MEETINGS

The next monthly SJAC meeting will be held on Thursday, Feb 9th, 2012 at 7:30 PM.

Our meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM at Atlantic County Library branch in Egg Harbor Township.

The library is located at 1 Swift Ave in Egg Harbor Township just off of Ocean Heights Avenue (county Road 559 alt) between English Creek Avenue & Zion Rd. Click Here for directions.

All are welcome at the monthly meeting, so whether you're a club member or just getting started in astronomy, feel free to attend!                                                                   If you are interested in joining SJAC, here is more information.
