SJAC serves those with an interest in astronomy throughout all of the southern part of New Jersey and surrounding areas. Here you will find information regarding our public meetings and our upcoming events.
Within this site you be able to learn the basics of astronomy, check area weather, and enjoy some of our members photographs. You will also be able to view and print information about our Spring and Fall Star Parties, and regional gatherings for the astronomy enthusiast.
Upcoming SJAC Events
Skywatches: The next public skywatch is scheduled for May 10th, 7:30PM at Belleplain State Forest. Please check back here for a GO/NOGO weather call.
Meetings: SJAC meetings are held 7:30pm on the 2nd Thursday of each month via Zoom online. A link will be posted on the SJAC eGroups. Be sure to subscribe to our free egroups and keep up to date on all the club events and announcements.
Star Parties: The SJAC 2024 Spring Star Party will be held May 2nd – 5th on the recreation field in Belleplain State Forest. PLEASE see the Star Party page for Rules and Regulations.
